Today, Congressman Patrick McHenry (NC-10) released the following statement on President Trump's signing of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement in to law:

"Today, President Trump fulfilled a promise to the American people, a promise that is vitally important here in western North Carolina. For years, we saw bad trade deals wreck the textile and furniture industries which employed so many in our area. The USMCA changes that. It shows that American manufacturing can thrive when bad trade policy isn't stacked against it.

The USMCA is a win for western North Carolina and the American economy as a whole. It is the latest example of President Trump fighting for American workers and getting meaningful results. I applaud his leadership in getting this deal done."
